FAQS
WHAT INITIALLY SPARKED YOUR PASSION FOR MUSIC AND LED YOU TO PURSUE IT AS A CAREER?
"I've been drawn to music since I was very young. At just six years old, I competed in a pageant in Morton, Illinois, where I performed God Bless the USA and became the pumpkin princess of 2011.That moment sparked a passion in me, and my parents, recognising my love for the stage, immediately enrolled me in lessons. As I grew, I developed a love for genres like jazz, pop, and R&B, which introduced me to legendary artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Elton John, and Yebba—each of whom has definitely shaped me into the artist I am today. I started sharing videos of my performances through YouTube from small-town locations, and soon enough, the Chicago Bulls and Justice discovered me. With each new experience, I kept climbing and working, and the rest is history."
OF ALL THE SONGS YOU PERFORM, WHICH ONE HOLDS A SPECIAL PLACE IN YOUR HEART, AND WHY?
“My song Pause holds a deeply personal and vulnerable place in my heart. I released it on July 22nd, which also happens to be my birthday. The song reflects the fear of growing up and the pressure of living up to the high expectations and goals we set for ourselves. A special easter egg in the track is the recording at the end, where you can hear my grandparents quietly singing Happy Birthday and saying, 'I love you.' They passed away a few years ago, and hearing their voices always brings me to tears!”
HOW WAS IT WORKING WITH THE PEORIA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA?
“There truly is no place like home. The Civic Center team brought me back to my home state to perform with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, and it was an unforgettable experience. Collaborating with PSO was a dream come true, and working alongside Lelm & Langford at the Civic Center was both a learning experience and an adventure. I poured my heart into that performance and had an absolute blast along the way! Excited to announce soon how i’ll be continuing performing with them.”
